Volunteer Hours Requirements & Opportunities
Hours Required by Level:
- Learn to Skate/Learn to Play: No Volunteer Hours Required
- Mite (8U): 10 hours
- Squirt (10U), PeeWee (12U), Bantam (14U), and High School: 24 hours
- Maximum Hours Required per Family: 40 hours
Families have from May 1st through April 30th to complete their volunteer hours. All teams will be required to work a major fundraising event throughout the season. This will be communicated to each family by their Team Manager(s). You will receive volunteer hours for working your major fundraising event.
Each family is required a Credit Deposit via check to cover their required hours. The check needs to be postdated to April 30th. Required check amounts are: Mite $250, Squirt & older $600. The check needs to be provided to the Volunteer Hours Coordinator on the first day of practice. If a family's required hours are not completed by April 30th, the post dated check will be cashed on May 1st. If a family completed some, but not all of the required hours, a prorated check for the portion that was completed will be mailed back to the name and addressee on the check within 30 days of the check being cashed.
You said you want to work extra hours?! GREAT!!! We have an incentive for YOU!!! Each family can earn $50 off their registration fees for the following season if you work an extra 10 volunteer hours in addition to your family's required hours. Example: You have a Mite (8U) skater and are required to work 10 volunteer hours, but you go above and beyond and work 20 volunteer hours. Great news! You just got yourself $50 dollars towards your registration fees for the following season!
